Description
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin existing in two forms main, with very similar biological activity: cholecalciferol (D3) deriving from cholesterol and synthesized by animal organisms, and ergocalciferol (D2) deriving from ergosterol present in plants. The main function of vitamin D is to regulate calcium metabolism by promoting intestinal absorption; it also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Exposure to sunlight should be sufficient to cover the body’s demands, also in the summer months the endogenous overproduction of vitamin D allows its accumulation for the winter months. However, in some conditions a vitamin D supplementation may be useful: for individuals who do not expose themselves sufficiently to sunlight such as the elderly in retirement homes, night shift workers, for those suffering from intestinal, kidney or liver diseases.
Jamieson Chewable Vitamin D is formulated with Quali® -D , Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) natural and pure, no GMO, produced without the use of animal tests. It is the same form of vitamin D synthesized by our body when exposed to sunlight. Quali® -D derives from lanolin , an abundant and renewable source of vitamin D. Lanolin is extracted from the wool of sheep raised in New Zealand and North Australia where they graze outdoors and in sunlight.

Ingredients:

How to use:
Chew one tablet a day, preferably after the main meal.
