Description

Branched-chain amino acids comprise three essential amino acids: L-leucine, L-valine and L-isoleucine. Branched chain amino acids, when the body is subjected to an effort, are able to promote protein synthesis and can serve as substrates for energy production (through gluconeogenesis).
