What’s this
It is a supplement based on bioflavonoids and vitamin C. Bioflavonoids are a class of polyphenols, substances naturally present in plants and known for their antioxidant properties. Vitamin C is obtained from natural fermentation from non-GMO corn and is in the form of “magnesium ascorbate”. The product does not contain allergens.
Compared to the “ascorbic acid” form, this formulation, in association with magnesium, makes vitamin C less acidic and therefore better tolerated, especially in cases of gastrointestinal tract alterations, such as stomach acid.
A small part of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) present in this formulation, however, is obtained from the fruits of Rosa Canina, a plant known for its high content of vitamin C and colored pigments with antioxidant action, such as carotenoids, flavonoids, present in traces.
What it is useful for and how it works
Vitamin C, like all vitamins, is essential for humans. Since the body is unable to produce it, it must necessarily be introduced from the outside. Severe vitamin C deficiency, known as “scurvy,” is characterized by the appearance of bleeding gums, loss of teeth and hair, slowed wound healing, extensive bruising, brittleness and bleeding of the capillaries, joint pain and muscle weakness.
The main function of vitamin C is the synthesis of collagen, an important structural component of the skin and skin appendages, tendons, cartilages and bones.
