Citrulline Malate 1250> one of the anti-fatigue supplements par excellence
Citrulline Malate 1250> one of the anti-fatigue supplements par excellence
Citrulline Malate 1250 is the union between Citrulline, a non-essential amino acid, and malic acid, a molecule involved in the Krebs cycle
Citrulline Malate 1250 apparently plays an unimportant role as regards anabolism but instead assumes its own nobility in the field of sport and performance, precisely because of its anti-fatigue action.
Citrulline enters directly into the endogenous synthesis of Arginine, which has multiple roles within the metabolism including stimulating nitric oxide, detoxification from ammonium, hormonal stimulation, antiastenic capacity; in fact, the lack of Citrulline causes extreme tiredness, sleep and muscle weakness.
The Functions of Citrulline Malate 1250
- Being one of the anti fatigue supplements, it reduces fatigue
- Increase nitric oxide concentrations
- It improves capillarization and oxygenation
- Increase your stamina
- Increase your energy levels
- It stimulates the secretion of GH
- Reduces lactate
- Reduces ammonia
- It has a positive action on protein synthesis
Citrulline or Arginine?
The two amino acids principles of the endogenous stimulation of Nitric Oxide act in synergy and in different ways. Arginine undergoes greater aggression by the intestinal bacterial flora and its assimilative dispersion is very high. It is also inactivated by liver and intestinal arginases which convert it into ornithine and urea.
Citrulline is a direct precursor of Arginine (see image), and has the peculiarity of being hardly attackable by the intestinal flora, coming in greater quantities to the process of conversion into Arginine with the possibility of storing muscle stocks of Citrulline.
The two amino acids therefore pursue the same goal in a synergistic way: Arginine is faster but Citrulline is more stable and allows a “time relase” of Nitric Oxide for longer times than Arginine, which after a few tens of minutes ( according to the gastric situation found) may have already exhausted its stimulating effect ..
When to take Citrulline?
Citrulline to enter the circulation takes about 20/40 minutes, compatibly with the gastric situation (presence of food) and the characteristics of the subject. The intake with low glycemic index carbohydrates favors their absorption, even more so if the carbohydrate is stable and follows the release and rest trend of Citrulline; this is why a polymer like Perfect Carbo is particularly suitable to be taken at the same time.
The permanence of the effect of taking Citrulline lasts for about 40/60 minutes, always in proportion to the characteristics of the individual.
Active dosages appear to be undoubtedly greater than 2.5g per day.Citrulline and anti muscle fatigue
As can be seen from the feeling of tiredness that derives from its deficiency, Citrulline has shown to be very useful as an anti-fatigue supplement to prevent fatigue and muscle weakness, this translates into more intense training capabilities, better recoveries even with short breaks and less likelihood of muscle spasms, cramps and other problems related to fatigue.
Citrulline is also used as a support in the treatment for dementia and Alzheimer’s.
> Synergies with Citrulline
Given its characteristics, this amino acid is perfect for being connected to other molecules that have a stimulating effect of nitric oxide (such as AKG), but also that amplify its buffering effect (Beta Alanine). At the same time it is perfect with anti-fatigue pro-energetic molecules such as Creatine. The sugars stable over time and not insulin dependent enhance their action.
