Unlike roasted coffee, green coffee has different properties even though both have caffeine. While the green one has a lower percentage, the toasted one has much more caffeine and a very acid pH. Consequently, traditionally used coffee is more irritating to the gastric mucosa. Green coffee, on the other hand, has substances that help burn fat as long as there is an adequate diet associated with good physical movement. The active principle is chlorogenic acid, a polyphenol contained in green coffee in good concentration, which is however destroyed in the roasting of commonly used coffee. Chlorogenic acid helps reduce the absorption of sugars and speed up metabolism, increasing the possibility of burning fat, as well as acting as an important antioxidant.
