Our body is unable to produce vitamin C nor can it store it for a long time. Although there is a pool of vitamin C in our body, there is a constant turnover of the same and any quantity taken beyond the immediate requirement is excreted. Therefore a continuous daily consumption of vitamin C is required.
Jamieson Vitamin C 1000 timed release has a particular formulation in which ascorbic acid is microencapsulated; this allows the vitamin C to be released gradually in small quantities over 6-8 hours, thus keeping the cells and tissues saturated for a longer period. As vitamin C is used in metabolic processes, the capsule releases more vitamin C to restore the tissues.
Vitamin C 1000 timed release by Jamieson contains the bioflavonoids rutin and hesperidin and a complex of bioflavonoids from lemon; it also contains acerolaand rosehip extract, excellent sources of vitamin C and bioflavonoids with strong antioxidant properties and which promote the resistance of the capillaries. The intake of bioflavonoids associated with vitamin C increases the bioavailability of the latter and enhances its effects.
