Description
Turmgel is a supplement that contains the purest form of turmeric extract.
The botanical name of turmeric is Curcuma Longa which contains Curcumin as a highly antioxidant active ingredient. The chemical formula of Curcumin is C21H20O6, and it is also known as diferuloylmethane. The extract, standardized, contains at least 90% curcuminoids: Curcumin, Demethoxysurcumin and Bisdemetoxy curcumin, with intrinsic antioxidant properties. The Ministry of Health recognizes curcumin for its antioxidant power and the ability to support liver, digestive and entire digestive system function. Curcumin is useful in promoting joint well-being and functionality and is also capable of counteracting menstrual cycle disorders. Thanks to a modern manufacturing technology, Turmgel is presented in buccal lozenges that allow for rapid oral absorption. Quicksorb Hydrogel Technology offers Turmgel buccal lozenges, the ability to dissolve in the mouth and thus be completely absorbed, bypassing the entire digestive system, allowing the dosage in the buccal lozenge (100 mg of curcumin) to pass into the
blood flow in its purest form and maintaining the administered dosage unchanged. Thanks to Quicksorb Hydrogel Technology, Turmgel buccal lozenges contain an aqueous gel solution which, compared to tablets and conventional buccal lozenges, has the following advantages:
– the excipients carry out a surfactant action that promotes the absorption of curcumin at the level of the oral mucosa;
– the oral release of curcumin occurs in pH conditions close to neutral. Under these conditions the curcumin molecule is extremely stable and the dissolution profile of curcumin is more constant;
– the ability to absorb and dissolve at the oral level favor a double effect that is expressed both locally and systemically;
– no hepatic first pass metabolism;
– systemic level in accordance with the administered dose;
-due to these characteristics, the dosage of curcumin in the Turmgel orosoluble lozenges can be relatively low, since the 100 mg of curcumin per buccal lozenge are completely active.
Dissolving in the mouth, Turmgel simultaneously enters the bloodstream for immediate action, bypassing intestinal absorption and avoiding first-pass hepatic metabolism, which as is known can reduce the bioavailability of curcumin by 50%. Turmgel buccal lozenges must be held in the mouth and dissolved slowly without chewing, to allow release into the oral cavity and rapid passage into the bloodstream for immediate action, useful for joint function, for menstrual cycle disorders. Turmgel buccal lozenges should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight and in a dry place. If the buccal lozenges are too soft due to high ambient temperatures, the blister can be allowed to remain in the refrigerator for 15 – 20 minutes. Then remove from the refrigerator and continue to store at room temperature as recommended.
How to use: 1 to 4 buccal lozenges per day, according to the doctor’s opinion.
Each orosoluble lozenge contains standardized 85% Curcuma Longa extract equal to 100 mg of curcumin.
