The sea is a source of life and well-being, not only for salt and sodium, but also for everything it contains. Algae, for example, are a real healthy touch for the human body.
Spirulina, so called due to its spiral shape, is a micro alga which, despite being invisible to the naked eye, has enormous nutritional and therapeutic properties. In addition to being rich in essential fatty acids, omega 3 and omega 6, spirulina is a source of high biological value proteins, i.e. rich in 8 essential amino acids that are not produced by the body: Phenylalanine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine. In addition, spirulina contains vitamins, such as A, D, K and B vitamins ; carbohydrates such as rhamnose and glycogen . Finally, spirulina does not lack mineral salts such as iron, sodium, magnesium, manganese, calcium, iodine and potassium.

Finally, thanks to the rich content of omega 3 and omega 6, Spirulina helps prevent cardiovascular diseases. Alpha-linoleic acid, contained in omega 3, has an anti-inflammatory action , lowers cholesterol and is a powerful blood thinner . Omega 6, thanks to linoleic acid lowers total cholesterol, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Like any supplement, it is good to take pure spirulina from controlled cultivation areas, without exceeding the recommended dosage of 5 grams per day.
