Description
NATURAL POINT BETACAROTENE 10000
Food supplement
Think of the positive and radiant strength of the red, yellow and orange colors of many flowers and fruits. It is thanks to the carotenes, the natural pigments that are also precious for the human body.
What’s this
It is a beta-carotene supplement, the most active of the 600 carotenoids identified to date. It is produced according to high quality standards. It is free of GMOs and solvents. We have added soya oil useful to increase the bioavailability of beta-carotene.
What it is useful for and how it works
Carotenes are essential for plant life, as thanks to them they can transform sunlight into chemical energy through photosynthesis. But even the human body cannot do without these prodigious pigments, which perform a unique support action in counteracting the oxidative effect of free radicals.
In particular, beta-carotene, being a precursor of vitamin A, is a valid remedy to preserve the skin from solar radiation and to support the growth and repair of body tissues. In addition, as a precursor of vitamin A, it helps to keep the skin smooth, soft and healthy; protects the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose, throat and lungs, thus reducing susceptibility to redness; it is a valid support of the immune functions and helps night vision and poor vision.
How does it work? A beta-carotene molecule is converted in the intestine into two vitamin A molecules which, through the lymphatic system, are transported to the liver (storage of approximately 90% of the vitamin A contained in the whole body). Small amounts are then also deposited in the fatty tissues, lungs, kidneys and retina of the eyes. In stressful situations, the body will use these reserves to supplement the low intake of vitamin A that can result from an incorrect diet.
